Post-Doctoral Fellowship Available at UCLA

A major research effort within our laboratory centers on IGFBPs and their relation to cell growth and death. The focus of the IGF axis research in our laboratories has been relevant to growth disorders, diabetes, and cancer. Our laboratory also studies the basic physiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology of IGFBPs. We employ sophisticated approaches to defining novel partners for the IGFBPs, such as nuclear receptors including RXR. We also study IGFBP-induced gene transcription. Transgenic and Knockout mice, yeast and mammalian two hybrid screens, gene arrays and other techniques are routinely employed.
